Decadence & Dirt, a multi-media exhibition by artist, Rebecca Memoli, summons the sinful, the sinister, and those desires that are so often attempted to remain hidden. Decadence & Dirt, Memoli’s first solo exhibition, transforms the typical gallery setting into an all-encompassing new world. That which lies beneath the surface is a common thread through the works.  The space has been converted into what feels like a home with the use of furniture, wallpaper, telephones and other household objects. The viewer is asked to explore this “home” setting, peering as a voyeur at video projections, gazing into framed mirrors as another video occurs, seated beside telephones that whisper dark desires, and pulling back curtains to reveal those hidden corners found in any home.
